Breeze house

Apr 2, 2011

Interior rooms and exterior spaces intermingle, giving its occupants ample opportunities to enjoy the surrounding nature in this two-story Breeze House.

Modern floor plan

Entering the concrete and glass foyer, you can see past the stair to the vista beyond, giving you a connection to nature.  Pass through the library lined hallway to the half bath and guest closet before entering the grand family space.  The efficient kitchen allows for connectivity to the family when preparing a meal, while the adjoining breakfast nook gives you a cozy spot to enjoy a morning coffee.  Separated only by the see-through fireplace, the living room and dining room keep the floor plan open and inviting for many different functions.  A sunroom separates the living space from the accessory wing, creating an interstitial space for enjoyment in all seasons.  Two bedrooms, a jack-and-jill bathroom, and a laundry room make up the accessory wing, an area perfect for guests or a child’s getaway right at home.

Proceeding up the open stair, you come to an entertainment space that could function as a theater or office off of a generous roof terrace.  The roof terrace is a wonderful public space for viewing the stars or hosting a party, and even takes advantage of the chimney from the grand fireplace below for an outdoor fireplace or barbecue pit.  The Grand Master Suite contains a laundry room, generous his and her closets, and a large master bath.  A private roof terrace off the Master Suite gives yet another outdoor room that lets you enjoy the fresh air and sunlight.

Either as a year-round house or a getaway from city living, this modern home allows its owner to relax and enjoy their surroundings.
