If you want to help us grow, write an online review. This has become an incredibly important part of our residential architectural marketing strategy. Online reviews are used by potential clients trying to decide who to call, if they need an architect, and if the architect they are considering is a right fit.

Our virtual presence did not exist at all until I built a basic website for the firm after taking an HTML class in 2003. We had thrived on the standard marketing methods of building a solid reputation through face to face interactions and growing through word of mouth. However, things were changing in client expectation. LinkedIn launched in 2003 connecting business leaders. Facebook launched in 2004, first connecting college students, but quickly growing to becoming an online community including businesses. Soon client expectation changed and if you were in business you had to have an online presence that told your story – before clients ever call you. We noticed a shift where clients coming in to interview us for a potential job already knew us and were just there to discuss schedule, budget, and get started on their project. The concept of “selling” shifted from a face to face interview to providing good online information, building a good track record of online reviews, and telling your story up front about what and WHY you do what you do. Our online face is our first impression to potential clients. It is our voice when someone is deciding if they need an architect vs a drafter. It is our way of surviving as a business.

So if you have had a positive experience with us and are willing to share your story – this is a huge value to us and potential future clients. Explain what we did, what you liked, what worked, and how it benefited your project. If we designed your home, addition, did a free energy-audit, gave a lecture / presentation for your group, or just answered questions – it all is helpful to get an online review for how we did. We greatly appreciate you putting the words you tell us in writing online for others to see. This is how we survive as a business in this electronic era. It is how we grow our business and it is how we continue our mission to build better community through design. Thank you so much for your support!
