Gaines Group Architects – Charlottesville – is hiring
We are looking for an Architectural Intern to join our team in Charlottesville.
You will join a team that is working on a wide range of projects including decks, custom homes, retail, commercial, offices, private schools, multi-family, health care, and church renovations.
We are searching for a community focused design professional to add to our team in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Architectural intern position will serve to support the development of all types and styles of projects. You will get experience in all phases of design. We collaborate on everything and work as a team on all projects.
Tasks you may do on a typical day:
- Client meetings
- Job site visits
- Field Verification
- General office tasks
- Community volunteer work
We are looking for someone with a servants heart that loves all types and styles of architecture. We work as a team on all projects. We will help you along the way to learn and grow as a designer. A strong applicant will have a desire to understand building science and constructability of all project types.
A strong candidate will have experience in Autocad, Revit, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and SketchUp.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
